Telluride Update November 2023

Telluride Update November 2023

Happy Thanksgiving!

While tough early season conditions have led to a delay in the Ski Area's opening day - right now they are targeting early December, with an update on Nov. 27 - there has been a lot going on in our area in the last month.

A storm Sunday/Monday dropped 7-10 inches of wet snow which will make for a good base as winter arrives and the gondola is now open for the winter season.

We've also been busy with elections. Telluride's Mayoral race was too close to call and a final count of ballots last week gave Teddy Errico the win by 10 votes! He'll join newly elected town council members Ashley Story Von Spreecken and Elena Levin on council with existing council members Jessie Rae Arguelles, Dan Enright, Meehan Fee, and Geneva Shaunette and they'll be sworn in on Nov. 28. Also last week the Mountain Village Town Council appointed Huascar E. Gomez (Rick) to fill the seat left vacant by Patrick Berry’s recent resignation from Town Council.

Finally, County voters also passed bond initiatives for the Telluride School District and the Telluride Medical Center.
