Ten inches of snow at the end of last week gave the mountain a great refresher and we’re now heading into a series of sunny days, with classic spring skiing conditions. Historically March is one of the busiest months of the season as spring break brings families from across the country to town.
The mountain is open through Easter with closing day April 5 and March is packed with community events and après-ski energy:
- Tips-Up FriYAY: Every Friday through April 3, head to Heritage Plaza in Mountain Village for free live music, drinks, and great mountain views.
- 6th Annual Skidola (Mar 13): Don’t miss the Telluride Foundation's uphill race from the town to San Sophia Ridge.
- Telluride's inaugural Skijoring (Mar 14&15). We are proud to sponsor skijoring down main street two days in a row!
- The Blue Party (Mar 19): The 30th annual spring fundraiser for the Telluride Adaptive Sports Program (TASP) held in the Mountain Village.
- Cardboard Sled Derby (Mar 21): A local favorite held at the base of lift four—always entertaining to watch and a fundraiser for One to One.
- Ongoing: Keep an eye out for weekly live music at the Sheridan Opera House, Club Red in Mountain Village and other venues around town.
In the real estate market, we’re seeing an uptick in showings and overall activity. Sales in San Miguel County through February are up 6% in dollar volume compared to 2025, but down 16% in the number of transactions.
In general, with fewer sales occurring, results are being buoyed by a smaller number of high-value transactions rather than consistent activity across all segments of the market.This dynamic may create opportunities for buyers who have been waiting for the right time to engage. We’re also continuing to see new inventory, with 12 new listings coming to market since the start of the month and eight properties going under contract, including a $17M home in the Town of Telluride.
