Snow has returned to Telluride! The last storm cycle brought just over a foot of the "white gold" and precipitation started again Monday night, bringing another 12 inches as of this morning. The mountain is skiing nicely and right now this weather pattern looks to continue.
President's Weekend brought the annual Comedy Festival to town and kicked off a jam-packed schedule of concerts and events that will run through the end of ski season.
From a real estate perspective, the market is appearing uncertain. The low snow year has stalled everything in town but we’re heading into some of the busiest weeks of the season. Inventory has increased in some segments of the market, and buyers are exercising patience. This has created a more moderate tempo overall, with high-quality turn-key properties still generating the most interest.
For sellers, properties that are priced realistically continue to garner the most interest as credible pricing trumps optimism.
For buyers, this environment can be an advantage. Increased inventory and a slower pace allows for careful comparisons but it’s still important to be ready when the right property comes along as you're likely not the only one looking for the perfect opportunity. This is where market knowledge is critical.
