The Punch Brothers at the 2023 Telluride Bluegrass Festival
There are few experiences like the Telluride Bluegrass Festival in picturesque Telluride, Colorado. Simply stepping foot into town is like entering a real-life fairytale village, not to mention the world class music you’ll experience over four days. The Telluride Bluegrass Festival is celebrating it’s 51st year in 2024, and one of the founding fathers of Newgrass, Sam Bush, will mark his 50th appearance at the fest this year. He’ll join a host of towering names from the bluegrass realm like 2-time Grammy winner Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway, Jerry Douglas and Tommy Emmanuel, Sierra Hull, Big Poplar, The Lil Smokies, The Po’ Ramblin Boys, and AJ Lee & Blue Summit.
You also have two of the top artists surging in independent country right now performing, with Sierra Ferrell making a return appearance after stunning Telluride in 2023, and Charley Crockett making his debut, undoubtedly checking off a bucket list item by appearing at the legendary festival. Lyle Lovett and his Large Band will also headline one evening.
Telluride is not easy to get to and is expensive to stay at. But anyone who has been will attest that it is a once-in-a-lifetime experience of amazing views and music.
