Summer took its time getting here but it has been beautiful in Telluride for the last few weeks.
This weekend, on Friday and Saturday, the San Miguel Basin Rodeo takes place in Norwood. We're a proud sponsor and events start at 6 p.m. with the kids' mutton busting and the rodeo itself begins at 7 p.m. If you've never been, it's well worth the trip out to the west end of the county!
Real estate sales through the first half of 2023 remain behind 2022 by 34% in dollar volume and 37% in number of sales. That said, we are trending 37% above the 5-year average for dollar volume and above all but 2021 and 2022 YTD in dollar volume but behind the same average by 28% in the number of sales. Interestingly, Mountain Village has seen a surge in dollar volume of sales in the first half of 2023 and according to Telluride Consulting, the average sales price has increased 48% year over year.
